The ‘Modern Slavery Response & Remedy Framework’ from Walk Free and Human Rights Resources and Energy Collaborative provides practical guidance to assist companies with their response to modern slavery or related exploitation in their supply chains or operations.
It includes guidance on remediation, which refers to the processes of providing remedy for an adverse human rights impact and steps that can be taken to mitigate that impact or prevent the harm from reoccurring. Remediating modern slavery is context-specific and an appropriate response will depend on the circumstances of each incidence, including the severity of the case and how a company is involved.
Companies are encouraged to use the Framework to inform their own company policies and procedures, including developing supplementary guidance as appropriate.
